Imagine the uproar when the 'horseless carriage' came to be. Blacksmiths, horse breeders, feed/hay producers. . .no longer in demand. Ice used to be delivered for the ice box. Milk was delivered to your door. All gas stations were full service. There was no on-line banking or ATMs. No e-mail or texting - the post office was very busy (the paper mill was shut down in my home state). Remember all the Blockbusters? Gone. The day is coming when there will be no more bookstores. How many businesses, big and small, have been put out of business because of online shopping?
