A too-low minimum wage doesn't just affect those workers, it affects all of us. We are all interconnected, and when their quality of life, ability to spend money on products, afford healthcare, or even live in a home instead of in their cars, ultimately affects us as well.

The old "I've got mine - if you didn't get yours, too bad for you" way of thinking is selfish and mean-spirited.
