Coding Career - Lmarti

Hoping to get some helpful thoughts or comments:  Currently trying to finish CareerStep Coding/Medical Billing course and having a horrible time trying to finish the coding section -- it is sooooo hard.  Just wondering if working as a coder is as hard as learning it and if I should struggle through to finish the course and pay more to extend course since I've been struggling to finish it?

Also I see most jobs want 2 to 3 years experience and certification.  Do entry level or on-the-job training/internship exist to break into this field?
