Thank you for the tips! Actually my cover letter is the most difficult thing for me to compose. Everything I put sounds trite, self-serving, boring, redundant. And since I'm not looking for MT anymore, applying for many different types of jobs, it's especially hard to come up with a new cover letter to fit each job description. I'd love to come up with an easier and more generic way to do this, but still make some sort of impact on the recruiter (or on the software, these days!)
