Have a friend who works as an aide for disabled adukts. She spends the weekend at a residence that houses 3 disabled adults and helps with cooking, takes out to events, movies, street fair, etc. She makes much more working Fri thru Sunday than I do as an MT. Depending on where you live, I guess it's called different things but her job was found under CAP/DA (Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults). She did not need special training but they do offer her continuing education with advancement opportunities. (Again, I'm sure this varies with employer.)
