Left handed mouse - married to my mouse Posted: Feb 14th, 2017 - 4:21 pm In Reply to: I love my mouse too - LDSMT
Changing the mouse to the left messed with my head a bit at first, just as when I switched to my ergonomic keyboard. I would use the mouse on the left side for increasing periods of time off work to switch. Going left handed for mousing had become a necessity as my shoulder really started hurting from reaching around the number pad to use the mouse. Putting the mouse under the keyboard shelf so I didn't have to reach around the number pad didn't help either. Left-handed mousing has turned out to have a side benefit of being so close to the keyboard. You can do fine with the left-handed mouse just by using your middle finger for left clicks and index finger for right clicks, but I have come to prefer just changing the mouse setting to left side (a windows setting). I do have to remember to change back to right hand mouse if anyone else wants to use the computer. When I use other people's computers, I just put it on the left and use my "alternate" fingering. People then think I'm left handed, but I'm not.
