IF this was a case of honest evolution I think most could grudgingly accept that. However, editing is based on a lie. MTs are doing more work for less pay and that was NOT the original intent. MTs are paying the price for the failure of VR software and now the backup plan is mass offshoring.

It is really annoying when people are unable to connect the dots. If any don't want to walk out or slow down then just don't. But don't offer up progress as a reason for not pushing back. This has nothing to do with Medical Transcription becoming obsolete.

As for some people liking the low wage. There are lots of people who have min wage jobs and have no problem with that. The REAL issue is what MTs working for the sweatshops have to do just to get min wage. The constant haranging to make impossible line rates, performance management, being reduced to infantiles, treated like a nameless commodity. It isn't so much the min wage - it is knowing that we could be at deaths door and the company would still stomp on us to get more work.

There it is. So tired of having to explain this ad nauseam.
