from my in-house job 5 years ago, I put out close to 20 applications for on-line MTSOs within a 2-month span of time. I heard back from only a handful of them during that time and tested from those I heard from. About a month later, I got 3 offers within a 2-day period. I chose the best one and was with them for 3 years. I than got an offer from another MTSO for a better line rate and better working conditions (small MTSO) and the part-time hours I wanted (I'm semi-retired) and was with them for 1-1/2 years until I got laid off again. Now I'm out of MT altogether. It's a losing game as far as I'm concerned.
