Your pinky finger is one of your weakest. Your right middle finger (if you are right handed) is the strongest (and fastest). I inherited a lot of my abbreviations from an in-house ergonomically designed shortcut list based not only on acronyms but best used digits.
Nonetheless, I'm glad ASR is so bad. They could never go live without MTs.
