KTMT reply - BeesKnees

KTMT - that's the way I was trained also. It's the reason I've stayed with this job for 35 years - it allows me to think and to use my brain instead of just being a pair of mechanical ears and hands. I will even break the "verbatim" rule when I know that the dictating doctor is wrong - such as the time one of them kept saying what would be done as therapy to the metacarpals when I had typed the whole report with him talking about the feet, the x-rays were of the feet, the previous treatment involved the feet. I refused to type "metacarpals" and instead put a bracket and noted the doctor's mistake. I refuse to become a quaking idiot, afraid of my MT boss or the person I'm transcribing for. I was trained to think and so I'm going to call them out when they're wrong- I don't care how many years it took to get their degree.
