Happy ex-MT - Do you not fear coding is going the way - of MT?

I have considered coding (even started the course through Career Step at one point). I find it as boring as MT (but tolerable if the money is decent). However, I fear coding is going down the same path as MT...jobs overseas (and now potentially saturated with ex-MTs trying to get coding jobs). As someone who is working in the coding world now, what is your view on/experience with that?
