Sorry to say this, but unless you live overseas, likely the jobs will be very very few next year.

So, regardless of how much you like to work from home, there are bonified work at home jobs that pay as much or more. True, they also are overseas, but I'd try proofreading or editing because English must be your FIRST language, not your second. So you stand a better chance of keeping the job in the next few years than if you continue in MT.

Proofreading and editing pays the same or a little bit more than MT.

Another alternative that is unlikely to go overseas is legal transcription.

You might be coming back to an empty desk.
