Below is the link for the IRS form SS-8 the above poster mentioned. Just scroll down the page to that link. You're making the correct decision by taking action, but you have to follow up with the IRS for results. IC means we own our own business, and those of us who did not contract for "beck and call" duty must follow through or this behavior will continue to happen. We need to be able to have more than one client if we choose to. After all, doctors have more than one patient, construction workers build more than one building or development, and painters paint more than one house.
