Feeling pretty smart as an MT after doctor visit. - anon

Posted: Mar 25th, 2016 - 11:13 am

I was recently at the doctor for gallbladder issues and then had an ultrasound. I had encounters at both offices where the receptionists didn't know something that I did.  At the doctor's office the receptionist couldn't read, or pronounce once I read it to her, biliary colic. The ultrasound receptionist couldn't spell nauseous and asked another person how to spell it but they spelled it wrong.  Don't these people have to know medical terminology for that kind of job?
