Word auto correct and shorthand are not compatible, you can use them but it is a pain to keep up to correction/expansion type programs.

There is a free program like word online - a friend of mine uses it and he swears by it - free and very good.

RE: Shorthand now has shorter licenses to purchase so you are not out so much money.

I would not be without my shorthand because it is my dictionary as well and I have 9 accounts so I need a dictionary.
