TRA/TAA - former TAA administrator

In times past when I was administering the program, if you were laid off and went to a company making less than 80% of your previous salary, you could quality for the training portion of things (TAA)without much trouble, but the company must have had a petition that was approved. Remember, if the company did not file a petition, 3 employees or former employees can file it. Start by contacting your local dept of labor (unemployment office). TRA is basically extended unemployment benefits. There are some caveats on that, so you can check into it. Hope this helps.
