Your question intrigued me - XQC

... so I tried something. I have a program called KeepVid, free online here:

http://keepvid.com/

I found a speech on YouTube and used this program to save it to my hard drive as an MP3 file. I then dragged and dropped it into my Express Scribe, and it plays perfectly! If your footpedal works with Express Scribe, then you're all set.

Getting KeepVid to start working at first may take some finess. You have to download something called GreaseMonkey to make it work, but I've downloaded a zillion movies and music to my hard drive now for months and have had no problems. The program is primarily designed to work with YouTube files, but it works on other sites too.

Have fun!
