management outright, but either they do monitor & harass you, or they leave you alone to just make your daily quota. Which is it? It seems all but 1 or 2 posters agree the same thing is happening to them. I don't give a flip if they have eScription or United Healthcare or direct deposit if they're going to stalk, monitor, and harass you all day instead of letting you work and just worrying about your daily line counts! Seriously... were the owners and supers ever MTs? If so, then they would know that's how it works. You simply cannot type nonstop for 8 hours a day. Back in the "old" days, I had a full-time MT job at a clinic that paid hourly for 8 hours but only had to work 6 hours a day because they said they understood there was no way to sanely type longer than that without your hands killing you. The post office makes its data entry people get up every hour to take a PAID 15-minute break. These big companies that really have no idea what it's like to be an MT are being utterly ridiculous.
