You can make the difference up in just a few months with a coding course and you aren't likely to make a good return on your investment with a CHDS or RHDS or whatever they call it these days. Whatever they call it, employers don't respect it. They do respect coders and they pay them a lot. That would be a good investment and you wouldn't have to throw away all the knowledge that you already have now. You would be ahead of people who don't know anything about the medical record.
