Are they flexible? I know you have to commit to a certain amount, but if you have to bring a parent to an important appointment, is it a big ordeal? I am currently working as an employee elsewhere, and they are not flexible. My parents are in very bad health, and I'm the only one who can take them to appointments, so I'm wondering if there are any IC positions anywhere that would let you leave for an appointment & make it up afterwards, etc. Of course, letting them know ahead of time that you'd be doing that. I have 25 years of experience and am a QA right now, but will do MT, ME, or QA. (Please feel free to email me if you don't want to mention a company name here.)
