my experience - Jen

Hi Mae. Sorry people aren't being helpful. I remember wanting to work on my own and having exactly the same questions. I've got 12 years' experience myself but know very little about the inner workings of a computer. I have worked for a couple of offices who already had something like ExpressScribe set up in the office. Then I would somehow access that through the website. And Lord knows I wish I could explain this better. I am sure I'm making no sense because honestly I didn't understand it. There's no way I could go into an office that used no transcription system currently and tell them how to do this so we could work together. I'm very frustrated right now because two years ago i was laid off from my hospital radiology transcription job when they switched to voice WRECK. Well, I was told by my director of radiology that ultrasound was a great field to get into. I studied my rear end off for the last two years, graduated from ultrasound school in June, and can't find a job in it to save my life. I'm a single parent of a disabled child and desperately need to be working. I've applied and interviewed for several secretarial-type jobs and they say I'm qualified to make too much money so they can't hire me. It doesn't matter what I'm qualified to make if I can't find it to make it! Ugh! I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully someone more helpful than I am can come along on here and tell you the ins and outs.
