Don't bother becoming an MT. It seems to be a dying field, at least in the USA anyway. Learn the classes if you want, lots of good info, but don't expect it to lead to a living wage or real satisfaction in your work. Until recently, I loved this job. Now, the clouds have gathered & I'm waiting for them to drop. I'm hanging in there til I get cut because I need the job whether it needs me or not. There are sharks out there swallowing up the smaller companies of good people. That's the part that hurts all of us.
