Psychiatric word help, please - Tina

Posted: May 14, 2013

Doctor dictates for the patient to "use the *relavan* technique to shift cognitive frame."   (It almost sounds like "roll-a-van.").

Your help is much appreciated.  Thank you!

Maybe relevant or self-relevant - nm

I found out what the word was..... - Tina

It's funny how you can listen to something over and over again and can't make the word out. I saw your reply and went back to listen to the dictation. He is clearly saying "rubber band technique." I googled "rubber band technique to shift cognitive frame," and confirmed such a technique exists in the psychiatric world.

I do thank you very much for helping me ... very much appreciated! :)

Is that... - see msg pls
