I think everyone should take the survey that was in our e-mail this morning.  Supposedly it is anonymous.  In the last box, I certainly let my feelings be known regarding QA/QC and losing incentive for 3 months based on BS QA/QC scores that are never reversed when challenged.  I know it won't matter but at least they will know how unhappy we are.  There were actually a lot of good questions that pertain to things I have seen discussed on this board.

I took it as well. I outlined how this company makes a person feel invalued. With myself, being here almost 3 years, I never once had a thank you or any kind of recognition, merit increase or even a thank you whatsoever. I was once a good worker, now I just don't care anymore after seeing how this company seems to not care about its employees; I mean why bother? When you have bad morale going through the company like this, it really affects everyone's work habits.

It is the same thing we take every year. Nothing ever changes. I am not sure why they have us do it, but it will be the same next year.

They are not anonymous. The last "anonymous" survey I took for a company was honest changed my status from that time out.

I don't understand the corporate mentality of the two giants leading the MTSO business (have worked for both now for 20+ years between the 2, buyouts, mergers, etc.)

I have a pretty good head for business, and successful employers don't treat their people like chattel. They especially don't *step on or over* the people who are making THEIR salaries.

That said, I have a comment for Snow Bunny who earlier on this board asked if MTs would be happy with *minimum wage across the board*.

Would you like your neurourgeon to have completed a 5-week course at Fred's Surgery School to do your anterior diskectomy and fusion? Would you like your cardiologist to have a weekend course and be certified to perform open heart surgery? I THINK NOT.

It's mighty presumptuous of someone to compare this profession to a minimum-wage paying position.

I can definitely take an order for cheeseburger and fries, hold the onions.

And another thing to management...I could come and do your job, because I understand cash flow and ebb, overhead operating expenses, and can make business predictions.

Can YOU come and do my job? I'm successful part time and probably earn as much (maybe more) than some of middle management, because I'm THAT GOOD AT WHAT I DO. Even with the pay cuts and that elusive bonus.

I do what I do because I like it.

I will not be hog-tied and threatened with this or that. If admin is too blind to see that their seasoned, experienced MTs will go above and beyond for them IF they would be willing to treat us reasonably.

Whip cracking and bullying tactics just don't do it for me. The old saying that *you can catch more flies with honey* still holds true today.

I have been with Nuance for 4-1/2 months.  This is my first experience with VR but I have 25+ years experience as a MT.  I have always had QAs 98% and up.  Whatever that QT thing is, my scores are horrible.  Yes, now and then I have a report that blows.  The majority of my work I have no problem with dictators, etc.  WTH is going on?  Someone please explain this to me plus who here really gets incentive bonus? ...

I have recently learned that I will be losing 3 of my best doctors to EMR.  Since then, one of the doctors has offered to keep me on entering the clinic notes into the EMR for him.  I would still be working from home as an IC, but would need some training on their EMR system.  Any suggestions as to what I would charge for this?  I currenlty bill by cpl.  Would I now be better off to bill by the hour?  I really have no idea how to approach this.  I have never do ...

Is it only me or is anyone else losing serious money here?  for the past 6 months I have NOT been able to make more than 950 dollars a month take-home.  now with the new program my pay is even less.  Please, is this happening to anyone else or am I being singled out.  no matter what I do I cannot make more than 220 to 250 dollars a week in may paycheck, and am onily getting paid twice a month.  I am short about 6 hours with mmodal now.  IS IT JUST ME they are doing this to?  ...

I remember the good old days, when we actually made progress in our jobs ($$$, benefits, etc.).  Now, in addition to not getting paid holidays (unless you work them, of course), employers are prorating PTO pay.  So...even if you get paid vacation time, you're not paid anywhere near what you make when you're working.  I guess the idea is to make taking vacation so unaffordable that you don't dare take it. Again, around 30% of documents with blanks - about my usual reported average. 99% of those documents were due to sound issues and undocumented physician names (not allowed to spell phonetically according to CPs).
