So I finally get my check. I say finally because after many emails they admitted this week they held my training pay a payperiod.

So this check should've had my training pay, a full week and another half week's worth of work.

Nope! Came in waaaaaaaaaaaay under what it was supposed to be, and of course, I can't access the time card anymore.

So glad I left that dishonest company!

if I had been on production I could understand a discrepancy. But I wasn't. I was still on "training" pay but the stub is a ridiculous mess of MUP, lines, etc. So yes, I was shorted and yes, they're dishonest because from the beginning I was lied to about what was needed, what the job entailed, etc.

If I'd thought to save the timecard copies (I saved the emails) I'd take them and the emails to the Dept of Labor and file a complaint. I'll take it as a lesson learned and hope that Karma catches up to Nuance.

Training Pay - Not-so-newbie

When I recently started, I was promised a "training" pay of $10 an hour. That was just for the time spent going through the training in Enrich. Once I actually started working, I had no promise of pay above minimum wage. My first two weeks were brought up to minimum wage with MUP. After that, my production was high enough that I didn't need MUP to meet minimum wage.

Just wondering if you were expecting $10 an hour for time once you actually started typing/editing.

...and it says that it's 10$ while training, until I'm released to DSP. I never worked as DSP because I quit within 10 days.

So if it's supposed to be the other way, that's fine, but it's not what the letter says. Frankly, though, as upset as I am I'm just over them and glad it's over.

Doesn't stop me from warning others, though.

I did my last ASR for MModal last Friday and started my new job today. My heart goes out to all of you trying to keep your heads above water with Mmodal. They are not even putting out anything that makes sense, lots of gibberish, sometimes made-up words, and is taking a huge amount of time to edit this bunk. Some KSMTs posted they got paid today, some got paid on the 1st. This tells me this was not an issue with late line counts or the payroll guru asking them to kindly roll payroll ahead a few days.
