This is what I have been complaining about for a while now -- that my ASR accounts are HORRIBLE. They are not even putting out anything that makes sense, lots of gibberish, sometimes made-up words, and is taking a huge amount of time to edit this bunk. At least now some other accounts are doing the same thing and I know I am not nuts. ASR is regressing.

does anyone know - what is going on?

Why is ASR doing that? Software is not stupid. There is a reason that it seems to be regressing, but nobody knows why. Isn't there anyone to look into the settings or something? I have so many "stupid ASR" examples, but nobody in management seems to be interested, and it drives me crazy, not just from the standpoint of lost productivity, but also that ASR **could** be so efficient. But then again-- super-efficient transcription software means jobs lost in the long run. More people spending more time correcting fouled-up reports means more jobs. Sort of stupid and underpaid busywork for people who are qualified for better. I think there must be some hidden motivation-- transcription companies aren't stupid, they should be right on top of anything that is causing a serious slowdown like ASR bugs. Especially when it is something as simple as changing the software settings to disable further changes to a correct template.

Still think that Q doesn't care. The work is getting done (we are doing it) and the clients don't know any different. Even if they know they are on ASR, apparently they think ASR is great and we just have to "proofread" the reports and send them on.

Maybe its time to boycott ASR, and refuse to edit it. - Then dig our heels in & stand our ground.

as a separate report to support, with all the pertinent info. Not time consuming at all. What are they going to do, fix it doctor by doctor? I have seen them change a few things but very few.

I did my last ASR for MModal last Friday and started my new job today. My heart goes out to all of you trying to keep your heads above water with Mmodal. Some KSMTs posted they got paid today, some got paid on the 1st. This tells me this was not an issue with late line counts or the payroll guru asking them to kindly roll payroll ahead a few days. My boss has offered me a 3rd shift position working 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. I work days now 10 a.m to 6 p.m. This 3rd position appeals to me because there would be no interruptions and hopefully my production would get even better.
