Nuance Quarterly Bonus??? (SM) - Just wondering

Does anyone know when this might be paid? Coming from Transcend, we were "grandfathered" in at 99% and supposed to get 10% for the first quarter. Does it include all money earned including the bonus we get if we have over 12,501 lines or just our measly base rate? I guess this is my one and only bonus here. Appreciate your help.

Over a year ago, when I was getting the quarterly bonus, it was paid about 20-30 days - after the end of each quarter.

I got bonuses paid on April 29, July 22, October 28, and January 30.

Sorry, don't know the answer to your other question, but it used to be on total earnings. However, the bonus was taxed at a distinctly higher rate than regular earnings (33% versus, in my case, an average 15%). I forget the reasoning they gave for that, but it just made for a larger tax refund for me that year (though it was certainly disappointing the first time, especially, knowing about what it should be and not expecting a whole third of it to be taken out in taxes).

BONUS - are you kidding me? I'm currently making about minimum wage with this company. Day one when they took over Transcend I took a $400/month cut and it's only getting worse. I'd take a job in a fast foods place to get out of this sweat shop! No difference in pay that's for sure.

I have 25 plus years transcription experience... recently lost contract to mmodal... went to work for nuance...DON'T DO IT. Horrible dictation. In order to provide quality work... I avearged below minimum wage. I have made very high production for years, quality work, acute care in all fields...THIS IS ROBERRY! I resigned after two weeks. What a waste of time. I too would rather flip burgers if I cannot support myself doing work I love.... Very tragic..

with the paychecks. For the quarterly bonus, there is a QA requirement of 99.4% (I think). You can always ask the supervisor to be sure but I am pretty sure we were not grandfathered in for the quality bonus that is paid quarterly.

Just to be clear, may I ask if this is correct? - There are 2 bonuses SM

offered. One is a production bonus and you have to do a certain amount of lines a pay period to get this bonus. Is this bonus paid every pay period? I assume it would be but who knows?

The second is a quality bonus, which is tied to FIESA scores. You have to keep a quality score of ??? for 3 months to reach this bonus. This bonus is based on total lines for the 3 months?

I will never quality for the production bonus because I am PPT and never hit the 7001 lines a week (pretty close to it but never get there). You have to get that for the 2 weeks in the pay period, correct?

I think I have this mostly correct but I wanted to double check.

Both are tied to Fiesa scores. Production bonus = 99% minimum. Quality bonus = 99.5%. - sm

The Production Bonus (99% QA minimum) is calculated weekly (7001 lines minimum/week), paid biweekly with regular paycheck. So you might get it one week and not the next, which I think is actually an improvement over having to get 14,001 lines per pay period, the way it used to be.

The Quality Bonus (99.5% QA minimum) is paid quarterly (used to be paid about 20-30 days after the end of each quarter). It's based on total earnings for the quarter, not lines. It's 10% of earnings for 99.5% to 99.9% QA score or 15% for 100% QA.

For both, QC submissions have to be not over 10% and LPH 186 or greater.

There is something that I've been thinking of that truly breaks my heart. To think that some or most or all of us just miss getting the quarterly bonus by 2/10ths of a percentage point or 1/10th or whatever. Anybody heard anything solid, or not so solid, about this? I can't seem to get any information on a date for disbursement. And now that the DSP and nDSP were messed up on the last pay period (resulting in erroneous QC Percent scores), I'm afraid it's going to be delayed even more while that gets corrected/ironed out through another pay period. While other people I know are receiving bonuses during this holiday season, I received yet another pay cut and unpaid vacations from my employer. I know it was just asked how they figure out their bonus, but I am concerned because I found recent posts that say the lines are "weighted", and their own ad says "quality based" incentive program. Another poster alluded to comma nuts that QA you to death so that you end up with little to no available lines for incentive. For a while they were advertising for help hot and heavy with big sign on bonuses. Now, no big help wanted ads and work is slim on many of our accounts. I guess not enough people have quit and they are overstaffed (surprise surprise). For years a good deal of MTSO's including Webmedx had in place bonus or incentive plans based on production ONLY. Such a plan most likely helped Webmedx win "employer of the year" for years.
