Probity was a great company. Nuance took over and well, you know the rest. Approved my first time sheet on the new-new plan and got 7 cpl for QC over 10%, but 100% QA. I will NOT work somewhere that I am penalized for thinking about patient safety and sending a horrible doctor's reports to QC for blanks. Nuance, you can kiss my! I'm done!

Tomorrow is my last day and I mentioned this same example as one of the reasons why. In addition, I was on 2 new accounts. I was paid the minimum for learning 2 new accounts...Oh, and I was still OOW, as I am today.

and was penalized. Tried to challenge it and was told there was no way to. Now I leave a see comments in the blank and write all names there even though it is not in my account specifics and so far have not been dinged for those. In account specifics, it read we were just to blank them before. After the take over of my company, I now hate my job. When my health issues resolve, I am out of here.

I totally agree. I loved Probity. I am becoming increasingly more disheartened with Nuance. Such double speak. They want us to focus on patient safety and then penalize us for the the one thing we can do to ensure patient safety - send reports to QC for a second listen. What's up with that!! Not sure what I am going to do. I've already worked about 10 hours today transcribing what I used to be able to in 8 - and they said they had fixed the pooling issue - not that I can tell. All new crappy dictators, who apparently are not responsible for patient safety at all!

I agree... I miss Probity. This new pooling issue was the last straw.. Supposedly they fixed my pooling to reflect what I have had for over 2.5 years, but tonight I only could do 8 jobs and 6 of them were outside my pool and were "difficult dictator" I am too old for this. If I have to start a new job every day I come to work.... I might as well.

This past pay period because my QC percentage was over 10% both weeks I calculated lost wages of almost $400. The first week my quality was 100%, the second 99.7%. The second week my QC percent was just a hair over 10%, but I of course ended up on the bottom of the pay grid, a difference of $150 for the week. I don't send reports to QC because I'm lazy. I have heard people on here say you have to pay your SE taxes quarterly or you get penalized. I didn't do that. I took my stuff to H&R block and they did my taxes with just a regular SE status, added to my employee status for my employee job. They asked me if i had paid in anything and I told them no, but I didn't get penalized in any way. Is that normal? Just one more thought. I have never, ever, known anyone who has left Medquist or Spheris and regretted it. They may bounce back and forth just to get by, but in the long run, when they are finally finished, they are finished. For all of those MTs who don't want to start over, please don't take that attitude. I did and it only got worse and when I did change it wasn't that bad at all. Again, could it get any worse? ...

Now I know I did the right thing in not only leaving the Q but leaving the field altogether. I had another physical last week and my blood pressure was back down to 120/70, and my doctor was very happy when he learned I had quit. They wasted no time in sending me labels to ship the computer back, though. Oh well.. they don't want the monitor, or mouse, or keyboard, so I'm keeping those! ...

Urine welkenton? Not sure of spelling, since I'm not sure it's really a word. They could also be saying welkington. That's what the dictation sounds like and I've listened to it several times on numerous days. Can't find a reference to it anywhere and I've tried many variations. Wondering if it's a really old term or if I'm completely misunderstanding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ...

I do believe now that they are starting to target those of us who were making 10/6. In the past, on my old accounts, I was audited no more than once a month. If I failed an occasional audit, they would wait another month to see how I did on that one and since I always passed, no action was taken. Just had a doctor dictate "potassium 40 mg," (should have been mEq) and then further down, "Levemir 40 mg" (should have been units). If I had not left blanks for them, that would have been 6 points off. It also compelled me to use my allotment of blanks for that report! But they, of course, do not get penalized for their mistakes. On the other hand, our pay is docked. There is a double standard here that needs to be changed. ...

that I have had in a dictation, and I am sure that the dictator (PA-C) is annoyed as well. It's always annoying when she chitty-chats with the "girls in the office" while dictating, but in this dictation, one of the girls is mocking back everything the dictator says and continues to do so, after a little chuckle from dictator each time, to the point where the dictator finally has to tell her that this is important, it is for an attorney and she cannot mess it up. ...
