Hate Nuance - Tell me something good about the company

Really need to know something positive about this particular company.  I feel very dysloyal and would like to see them fail. I need something to change my mind.

 

EDIT: Disloyal.  Thanks posters.  I was seeing RED this morning after getting some news that will affect my line count/income from Nuance.  They are RUTHLESS and care nothing about American MTs.  As a matter of fact, they are trying to force us out of the company so more work can be done cheaper in India.

They show no respect for MTs who are the people who bring in the money to the company. To Nuance American MTs are easy come and easy go especially when there are MTs in India who will work cheaper. They have built a monopoly buying American companies and the company accounts and are shipping more and more work to India. People wonder what is wrong with our economy. Companies like Nuance is what is wrong with the economy. They take American jobs and ship them offshore, probably without the hospital knowing it. Sneaky and shady company with no ethics.

And the politicians do nothing about this! - Disgusting what is happening to America.

They get paid to vote in favor of big business. They do not care what happens to the voters. They need to fund campaigns and keep the power and income from being a politician above and beyond their salaries. They all belong in prison.

They deposit your paycheck into your account on time. Granted, it's not much of a paycheck but ... it pays part of the bills.

And if you do produce then they tell to not to be in so much of a hurry because of major errors. You're d****d if you do and d****d if you don't. There is just no pleasing these people.

Your willingness to accept the beating handed out in pay and working conditions - directly negatively impacts all MTs

American MTs should refuse to work for offshoring/outsourcing companies.

Did you know when Nuance offshores, they sub out the American work to other separate India MTSOs?

I might be the only person on this board who is content with Nuance, but I am certainly not taking any beating in my working conditions. I have a beautiful home office. I have an account that has more work than I can handle with only 1 or 2 horrible dictators. I have a great supervisor and team leaders. I get a decent amount of PTO in my opinion. The QC isn't the best, but as long as I know I am doing my best, it doesn't get me down and yes I wish all hospitals and clinics would demand that their documentation be handled on shore here in the US, but that is not realistic. If the demand for cheap off shore labor did not exist, then there would be no need for outsourcing companies to be in business. Put the blame where it belongs. Not on Nuance in my opinion.

That is about it. The 25 percent differential when being forced to switch accounts is good but none of these makes up for the lousy base pay.

What 25% differential? - When, where and how?

I have not been offered 25% differential when adding a new account. PTO is so minimal.

When my primary went completely offshore and I was moved to a new primary, there was a differential for the new account. Later, when that account switched to EPIC, we were told we would qualify for the differential for a new primary, good for 30 days.

The PTO is minimal but when part-time, it is still more than most other companies give and if you have need of taking time off and cannot flex, it is helpful.

We never were told what happened to the old accounts, but we suspect outsourcing to India.

I truly just hate ever day that I have to work for them. I type a lot of crap, but just had the worst doc I think I ever had.  Had 11 QA markers so I sent it to QA thinking they might actually LIKE getting some work since they are about to be history.  Anyways, this bi*ch marked 2 CRITICAL ERRORS and did an audit on it (which was still 96.5% in spite of everything I am glad to say).  QA you wonder why we have such a bad attitude?  That was totally unnecessary.  ...

I spend a lot of time typing for a huge university hospital clinic with no ADT.  Have to type in all patient information.  Almost every report is a LETTER.  Referring physician has to be typed into the ADT.  Then the letter recipient information has to be typed in and lo and behold have to re-type it into the cc list for the doc to get a copy of the letter.  I wonder why I can't run a decent line count?  I spend 50% of my time typing in information that I am no ...

I sure wish Dr "UM," would go away arleady.  Geez, this one starts every sentence with, "Next, um . . . . (long pause) blah, blah um blah, um . . . .  This job is 24 minutes long packed with about 9,500 instances of using "um" no less than 4 times in every sentence. My line count is in the toilet, it has slowed my computer down. The spell check is missing things like doubled words. The headers are ridiculous.  AND I use the mouse a lot more because half the time the arrow keys don't seem to work. This SUCKS ...

Don't you just hate it when you've got a dictation that is so fraught with static, and it sounds like the dictator is 100  miles away from the phone, but you actually can make out the words, just barely, and you'd love to leave all blanks because it's such a chore to hear any of it, but you can't, of course, because you can make it out?  Several of these in a row is enough to make me want to punch my computer!  (or eat lots of chocolate!) ...

I am to the point of "Ugh do I really have to work tonight".  They fail you on audits for the stupist of things, nothing below 97 for me, but there are so many CPs with different rules.  You are on one for 2-3 reports then all of a sudden a different one, they someone reserves some to you that you have never heard of, not even in our region, and you have to stop, read the CP and lose lines because you have to make sure once it is done, it is correct.   Then this sorry ASR mes ...
