So I am supposed to be working right now..I gave my notice last week that I would be done on August 17th, but I unfortunately am just not feeling the need to finish out the week.  I am leaving because I am unhappy (like many at MQ are)..I have a new job starting on the 23rd with better pay and better hours and I can't wait!  I was looking at my jobs for the last 4 weeks and have noticed I have a 99% (I forgot the word "about") on an audit and a 98.75% on an audit, with just 2 corrections (fricken foreign docs!) so I am sure I will be under the required 99% and thus they will start docking my pay per line so I said "why should I sit here and work for 5 cpl?"

This is only my opinion and no judgement whatsoever. I know that working for MQ has been a downward spiral for everyone (me included, when I worked for them). However, in my life experience, I've always felt it is best to not burn any bridges, as tempting as it may be. When my daughter was a teenager and wanted to quit going to a job a couple of days early after she had given a 2-week notice, I told her that she had given her word for said 2-week notice and that, as a reliable employee and human being, she should keep her word, no matter what. One just never knows...

But, that is just my opinion. I truly understand the desire to just toss the company to the wind and move forward, but I feel one's word is one's bond, regardless if the company hasn't been ethical, and if one doesn't have that, there isn't much else. But, that's just me. Again, no judgement on whatever you decide to do. :)

I applied back there last year and didn't get the job -- that I had done for 15 years and was pretty much the best in the department. Best not to burn any bridge in my opinion either.

I do agree with you, this is actually something I just instilled in my son who hated his job and I told him he wasn't allowed to quit until he found another one..He found another job and actually started today but I had told him he had to work at the other one until his new one started..it is so hard to take our own advice sometimes! LOL...I actually really don't care if I burn this bridge to a point because I am pretty sure I will never work for them again, but me being the nice person I am worked 5 out of my 6 hour shift and made the other one up this morning..I hate being the one with morals sometimes..but I also don't like working somewhere where I am so unhappy my husband doesn't even want to be around me.

Who cares, get the heck outta there. That company sounds like a complete nightmare! All I hear is complaints and valid ones! They seem to take advantage of the employees and play the QA against the MT, creating even a more distressing atmosphere. You should all quit them. There are much much better companies out there, I know. just be tenacious!

I was working on an account for the last 5 years and was averaging in ASR lines at 329-340 an hour with 100% audits.
