Maybe virus and not 6.1? - anon

Undoubtedly I have picked up a virus if nobody else is having this slowness and delay that I am having. Sometimes will just stop while I am still typing and then will catch up. It takes longer to upload and download a report. No flaming please. I have typed for a hundred years, and this is not right. It just happened when I upgraded the 6.1. If everyone was having this trouble, I think we would all be screaming. Will try running virus scan this weekend and see if helps.

Received email from group stating Qcare is - backloged.

Supposedly a lot of MTs cannot get this 6.1 to download at all and there is a HUGE backlog in Qcare about this problem.

It is not a backlog of complaints with problems. That is what I am being told.

I just read the upgrade manual, and no wonder - it is slow.

It is keeping track of so many things - grammer, spelling on the fly, and a whole bunch of other stuff that it never did before all while you are playing the audio and typing. I am so glad I haven't downloaded it yet and hope I can turn off a lot of the new "wonderful" features.

My husband has been an IT guy for 25 years and constantly is taking classes to keep up with the times.

I told him about my problem with this new version. He said could be either 2 things: 1. We have received a virus from the 6.1 version. 2. Company is watching us and husband questions if we are being used as teachers for India students to watch our work. (I about fell out of my chair when my husband made that remark). My husband has watched for years how this company has treated us all and my husband does not put it past him that this company would do something like that to us.

So the 5 India QA and then 1-2 US QA are not enough and they possibly need to actually watch the US MT work. Maybe then its time they hang it up. I mean really, how much help do they need? Any why would they want to watch us do the horrible dictators and the horrible audio. All the decent stuff left years ago. Well, if that is the case they better understand that I take potty breaks without punching out and eat my lunch at my desk. If they are expecting every second to see keystrokes they won't see it from me!

This is a known issue. Make sure you file a diagnostics report; they ARE being read.

Thanks for all the suggestions below! Support had called me on Monday and I spent 4 hours on the phone with them trying to get the virus off. They couldn't do it and escaladed the ticket. I think this is where I am to post this. I have Norton 360 installed on my computer. Every night, it just starts running a scan, usually when I am working :-(. So, I am working on MQ computer and wanted to ask a question on MTstars and before you know it, a virus started downloading. I freaked out and tried to stop the virus from scanning. The patient is in a s/l *total shell* with a headrest secondary to West Nile virus, some neuromotor dysfunction, but no acute changes.
