I made 78 bucks this week - big money

After taxes, probably about $50. If this keeps up, at the end of the month I will have earned what I used to make in one day here! Back in 2004, I could easily make $200 a day and still have the stubs to prove it.

Completely agree with your post. Last payperiod, - my check was just over 100.00.

So far, I have made under 200.00 in a month. I constantly get on and check all hours of the day, but NO WORK. Just an empty screen.

Yep, I used to make around 180.00 a day and worked around 30 hours a week. Now I work even harder as if I was on steroids or act like a chicken with the head cut off trying to fly through the work and barely making minimum wage.

Done with this MT field. Yet Amy makes well over 350,000 a year.

And you spent 40 hours of your own time trying to get those 102 lines because MModal won't pay you for nonproductive time,even though they require you to sit there and keep waiting and waiting and waiting..............for something that never comes.

I never had to get to this point, been on vaca all week, but seems like maybe Im gonna need to file, no work today..hoping the new year is better? Thats terrible, almost like wishing for more people in the hospital.

Then each week you file a claim online and put in the hours that you worked that week and estamated pay for that week, and they will pay the difference according to your schedule...and you can direct deposit. I applied a couple of months ago---it has been a lifesaver. This week I worked 9.15 hours and made $66.63 (min wage). On the phone interview, all I had to say was my work has been sent to India---they okayed it without questions.

There is no reason to do this whole remedy process anyway. They know when we are out of work because the program tells them. No one is routing us work when we do a ticket, and the CCMs dont give a hoot either. What is the point?

I have been an MT for 15 years but had worked retail about 10 years ago during the holidays, as well as my pre-MT days. Here is the very, very sad part. I applied at Wal-Mart and couldn't even get an interview.

I fear I am doomed to remain a pitiful and lowly MT until I become homeless from the horrific pay. I guess that is something to look forward to.

GET NOTHING! No pay. PTO all used up. Sit and constantly get on to see if there is work and NOTHING trying to make minimum wage.

At least you get paid saying Hi to customers and unpacking boxes and your fingers and wrists are not killing you by beating on the keyboard trying to make that minumum wage.

The economy may be getting better but it isn't quite there yet and when a mid to late 40-year-old with a little to much padding and gray hair walks in to get a job next to a dozen 20 year olds, the odds are tougher.

P.S. - before you tell me to dye my hair, I can't I am allergic to all of them.

Good grief. I did not change the way I edit. It so depends on how many commas they think you should have. Low and no work, multiple accounts. Lucky I got what I did this last payperiod. However, early this year I got a few bucks in MUP and was told to bring my statistics up or else. Why are we still having to jump through hoops -- highlight and skip marker for more than 5 words, etc. - for the ASR? Hasn't it had time to "learn" all it is going to learn? It would be so much easier just to delete the crap we can't use and have to re-do instead of all the red skip markers, etc. Anybody been told that we can just DELETE and not SKIP yet? ...

Well, 18 year employee here. (PT for 10 years) came from TL which was GREAT company and then MQ bought out. I have very chronic illnesses that I absolutely cannot go and get an outside the home job. I, as stated, don't have a real problem with FTR, because frankly all of us MT/MEs who have done this job for any length of time should be doing our work correctly anyway. I've noticed this repeatedly over the last several pay periods, particularly with one of my accounts, since Transcend took over. The last day (or two) of the pay period, there is no work - 0 for every work type! Next day, work levels back to normal. Is this due to off-shoring, account hogging to get that last pay check boost...? Or do patients just stop showing up at the hospital on the 15th of every month?...right. ...

I noticed a new hired is well cherry picking her way thru our ques but is it possible she can type 20000 lines in a 10 day work week - this is double any of us can do? We use express scribe could she be using some kind of speech to text program to get to this number. Her report counts are high and we all work on same accounts but produce at least half of what she does in the same amount of hours. I truly need help understanding this? ...
