Does MQ offer part-time positions? - sm - CuriousMT

I am thinking of applying to MQ for PT work as my current accounts are getting a bit too slim for my liking. More and more of my docs are doing their own transcription which is encouraged by the hospital system I work for. So with 2 of my bigger account at 50% the norm (not because of the holidays, they are seeing 18 but only dictating maybe 8) I need something to fill in the hole but do not want FT. I don't even know if I would pass the test, MQ is the only test I have ever "failed" (twice, but it has been at least 8 years and I am a much better MT now). So figure I may try again but did not see anything on their website that says part-time. I know they did in the past but how about now? Thanks!

I feel like I'm in limbo. I have a job that I have to go to every day but they are not letting me in!!!!! This would never happen if we worked outside the home. This company is getting their cake and eating it too and in the meantime I will not be able to afford a cake!!!!

since as an IC (part-time would be IC I presume). I have no problem with a range or even specifics as my other job is IC (no times required, just get the work done in TAT).

no, MQ hires part time as employee, not IC - you have to have a schedule

You have to give a specific schedule and have to do a minimum of 24 hours per week.

hired that is. May work to my benefit actually and use them to pay my taxes on my IC job. I did employee before and liked that aspect at least. Thanks for the info.

There is no work at all, part-time, full-time, unless you live in India. Do not waste your time....

I worked for MQ full time and then went to part time last year, before finally quitting altogether because of health problems. Does anyone care to share that if you are hired at optiscript part time will they let you change to full time easily? I know they are a small company and do not over hire so I do not know how easily this could be done.
