Okay, what did I miss here and please advise. Drove 25 minutes to the local Staples store to buy a new mouse for my personal computer (2), and at checkout, no matter what the girl did, it would not take my M-Modal $13 Discover Rewards card. She obviously knew how to run a register and tried as a credit, then debit, even swiped at checkout where you sign, still a no go. No biggie that I had to pay for this, but that was the reason I drove the distance to Staples to purchase this product, because the paper that came with this $13 Rewards card showed it was good at Staples. Can anyone tell me what I or the store manager did wrong, and why this would not take, especially since it does not expire until April 2015? If I cannot use it, why bother giving it. Maybe it's online only? She tried it every single way possible and still, no acceptance for the $13. WHAT A !!!!!!!

Don't you have to go on-line or phone in to activate it (you probably did, was just a thought).

You are correct and yes, I did activate that card at least a few months ago. Funny is when they gave you the $25 American Expess card. Not one bank and/or place of business accepts AE except for 1 restaurant about 25 minutes from me, so we went there for supper one night, yet, it still cost us $50 on top of the $25 AE from M-Modal; very expensive restaurant near me.

I had three at one time I used at a local restaurant that took them and had no problems. Was this one perhaps expired?

enter the exact dollar amount for the card. I have run into this at Wal-Mart before with various general gift cards (Visa, etc). Because of that, I always make sure when I use such a gift card, that my total will exceed the value of the card so that I do not have to remember that the card has $1.22 on it or whatever. Perhaps that could be the issue.

Run it through for $10.00 not $13.00 - sm

Use it as credit not debit. The $3.00 is for the fee and/or taxes.

Yes, last post'er correct. The card is only for $10. I used mine at TJMaxx. but i tried using it at Sams club first...did not work. Keep trying!

The spot award is 10, but they have to charge you taxes on your pay statement, so they give you 13 on the card. The value of the card is the whole 13. I have used many of them. Lowe's and JCPenney go through with no problems. Restaurants don't work so well. I have heard that some places have to enter the dollar amount as 13 in order for them to work.

In the new rewards plan concerning pto I cannot find anything where it mentions how pto rate is calculated every 6 months. It was listed in the old rewards 2006 about every 6 months how they send out a new calculated rate for us. am I missing it in the new plan? I know there is an internet card that you can buy to get you access to the internet on your computer if you are in an area without direct access. Where would I buy one? I am traveling and will be in a hotel that supposedly has internet but what happens if they don't for some reason. I received a beautiful Christmas card in the mail and inside was a VISA card from Transcend wishing me a Merry Christmas and the card even says "thank you" on it! I wasn't expecting that. I've only been with them a little over a month! I'm even more impressed with them now. I got a calendar last year from my previous employer. That was nice, but this is even better.
