Can someone just give me a quick rundown - on the new NJA policy?

I have limited access to information and don't get the e mails from corporate. I just want to make sure that I am understanding this new policy correctly. If you are NJA, you have to just keep checking back for work throughout that particular DAY you are short (on your own time) or take PTO? You can't get off the system and make up time later in the pay period or just go without working? I just want to make sure I understand this new policy right and I can't get an answer from my CSM. That's the way my TSM just sent out an email saying exactly. Crock if you ask me. I managed to get 3 hours in today and do not have the option of making up the other 2. We will see what happens once my few hours of PTO runs out. I hope they shoot themselves in the foot.

Im not using my PTO cause they have no work - but thats just me

Supposedly you can talk to your TSM about making up hours on different days - supposed to post on swap board

Our TSM has said for weeks that she would post hours on the swap board that people could work to make up hours. Nothing yet. This policy stinks.

going on right now around my schedule and if this is a temporary situation it will not break the bank for me. I am at the point now where I feel being fired or laid off would be in my best interest as this job is really making me emotionally and physically ill!

They have been laying people off every 3 weeks on a Thursday since July. That would be tomorrow if they hold true to pattern. As far as temporary no work situation who knows. I think this has become the new permanent.

AND ... we can thank Global/ILP for taking 48% of our work here in the U.S. Though M*Modal won't admit to it .. it's like a big secret. I think Nuance is going to be seeing a lot of people from M*M. And nobody seems to CARE how bad the quality is from them. It's all about lining their pockets and screw the patient, screw the people who MAKE money for them, and screw any ethics they should have.

Sunday through Thursday schedule. You have 2 extra days to make up your hours. Those who work Tuesday through Saturday don't have any extra days because we are not allowed to work on Sunday and Monday because of low work volumes. That isn't very fair is it?

Read the policy very closely. It does not say that your are required to use PTO.

It does not say that you must use PTO, or that a PTO request be submitted. It goes on to give instructions when an employee is released from work for all states and states with special requirements and ow to handle it. Read Closer.

If there are NJA, you have to wait 6 minutes before you call it a day and submit a Remedy ticket for NJA. You CAN check back thru the SAME day for work to complete the remainder of your shift. If you choose not to, or there's not enough work to complete your shift, you have to make it up at some point and schedule MU through your TSA. You can no longer take it without pay.

but it says only 2 options for NJA and that is PTO or make up time. My boss emailed each of us and told us that there are only 2 options now and that is what I have outlined above for you. You will see eventually when you run out and don't do the correct option. You will get your walking papers next.

What happens if you have no work on your Saturday - shift. There are no days to make it up

When I asked my TSM about what happens when we run out of PTO and there is no work to be made up I was given the corporate line of "you should see workflow pick up due to the changes made recently." Basically ignoring my question. They have no answers. They were just sick of people claiming partial unemployment. If I run out on a Saturday shift I will be claiming UE.

As a part-time MT2 who also works a full-time job elsewhere I'd like to know when I'm supposed to make up my time as I already work 7 days a week. The only "bennie" I get from this company is a measly couple of hours a month of PTO. They can keep it. I'm an "at will employee" according to them. I get paid on production. If I were an hourly employee, I could almost understand their ridiculous rule, but the amount of PTO I accrue is not going to cover the amount of NJA I have been getting over the last few months.

That is my problem too. If I do not get my Th, F and/or Sat hours, I have no time to make it up. m, - SOL every which way

Add to that, I am also 2nd shift, so I have no hours left in a day to make up time like day and graveyard shifts. Just 1/2 hour and midnight has passed.

Why do they make such a big deal out of an error, including sending e-mails saying "ERROR ALERT" or making a 3-point error a "critical patient safety error," then docking your pay for same, but if you go back to look at the document or to listen to it again, which you can in Escription, they have NEVER CORRECTED THE ERROR??? I have downloaded Google Chrome. I have used the Google quick search box on my former computer. I am having trouble locating this for my new computer.
