Anyone in the South recently had their threshold - changed to 1 job to improve TAT?

Posted: Jan 13, 2012

Just wondered how it was working for you? Our CCM said it would not affect production.  I seem to be having to wait between jobs for the next one to load, which will ultimately affect production.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Does that mean you only have 1 job at a time in your q? North here. - nm

Yes and it - stinks!

Have to wait 10-15 seconds for the next one to load. Supposed to improve TAT?

Believe the opposite of all told you. IMO, this is to spread out work, - make NJA seem less obvious. nm

yep probably got sick of paying NJA tickets - North MT
[ In Reply To ..]
Sounds to me like some corporate brain trust decision- trick the employees into thinking there is more work than there is and stop paying the minimum wage NJA tickets and lower benefit rate at the same time. It is actually costing the MTs time to download each job separately, much faster to let the second job download while you are working on the first. They better not try that nonsense in the North.
What do you plan to do if they do try that nonsense - in the North region? Take-over? Murder? nm

What else would they do?
of course - North MT

Yes, that is exactly what I would do, use my magic wand. When you work on an account that has most reports less than a minute each there is no way I would want to be receiving 1 job at a time. I would definitely speak up and find out the reasons for the 1 job rule and see if I could circumvent it. There are always different accounts or different CCMs or different regions of the company to work for and even different companies. Options are always open.

I like this way better. I don't like to see a stat job waiting while I'm working on a report and would rather not have the next job until I'm ready for it.

Good point! - Do you have to wait a few seconds longer

[ In Reply To ..]
for the next job to load though? That is my main complaint.

next job - MT

[ In Reply To ..]
Sometimes I wait for awhile and at other times the next job is right there. It can slow me down a little bit but I still prefer not to have a job waiting in my queue.
next job - MT
[ In Reply To ..]
Seeing the next job waiting there adds a little feeling of stress, especially if it is a stat job, so I like not having the second job there anymore and I don't mind waiting the little bit of time it takes for the next one to pop up.

suspend the first job - North MT

[ In Reply To ..]
When you have a stat as the second job suspend the first job and it moves the stat over so you can finish that and then gives you the job you suspended right where you left it. Sheesh. We get yelled at if we don't suspend the current job and work the stat. All this corporate doublespeak on being one team blah blah and yet each region and each CCM do things differently.

That's what I do. I never heard of what poster said. I work on - C-stone and it is darned slow enough.

next job - anon
[ In Reply To ..]
I like seeing the next job that is coming up and I don't mind suspending my current job for a stat. I have noticed a lot, though, that when I am at almost the end of my shift that a really, really long job suddenly takes the place of the second job that was already there and not as long. Wonder how that happens.
Someone is doing that. After job done, look up that job - # in Documanage, and you will see SM
[ In Reply To ..]
a pull-down labeled job audits. Job audit will be the choice you see there. Click go, it will show you the history of where that job was and who, if any, moved it around. That will show if any took the short job from you and it they gave you the long job or if it then just flowed to you.

suspend - MT

[ In Reply To ..]
I have been with MQ for years and was not aware we could suspend a job. I have had many CCMs and never heard of this. I must have missed it in something we were supposed to read. How is this done? Click on Job Flow?
to suspend a job... - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
When you are in a report, up where you click Upload, the word suspend will be functional only if there is a stat job waiting. If there is a stat job waiting, you click suspend and the job you are currently working on will trade places with the stat job, no matter what point in the dictation you are. Then after you upload the stat, you get your other dictation right back.
Thank you! nm - MT

yes - North MT
[ In Reply To ..]
On the upper right the suspend light will be dark when there is a stat as the second job. I use keyboard shortcuts, but yes, it is under job flow, Ctrl-J, then arrow down to suspend and hit enter. It will save the first job where you are and move the stat for you to work on. Then when you upload the stat it will bring the suspended job back right where you were.
Thanks! Glad to have this info nm - MT

NJA? Request To Help In The South
Dec 14, 2012

Ask your CCM tonight to temporarily help out in the South if you are NJA.  I hate to draw people to my accounts and risk running out of work, but considering these accounts are going to go late in a couple of hours and they have already threatened to leave if TATs aren't met, it's worth the risk.  I just wonder who the bonehead is who handles workflow.  I wouldn't think it would be that hard to look at the statistics and move some NJA people to fill in some gaps.&nb ...

North Versus South
Jan 07, 2010

I am wondering if the MTs working in the North region, which was recently pooled into one big region from what I understand, are getting enough work.  I know if they are doing it in the North, there is a strong probability they will do it in the South, so just wondering if its a good thing or a bad thing in your opinion to pull work from a centralized work pool.  Aside from the fact that working on multiple accounts can be a pain in the a** since all want different things.  All an ...

South African Doctor
Jul 25, 2014

On my account, we have this doctor who is very picky (all his files go to ACR - i.e., automatically get reviewed by QC) and often can be hard to understand.  While English is his first language (I assume), from what I can tell, he's from South Africa.  Of course, many Americans confuse a South African accent with that of an Australian or New Zealand accent.  Today I realized why he's so hard to understand sometimes:  Because he sounds like he's DRUNK!  Se ...
