I AM SOOO TICKED RIGHT NOW?? I GAVE MY JOB AWAY TO INDIA??? THIS IS WHAT THEY DO TO THE UNITED STATES?? Throwing rocks to anything related to the United States???

She was sitting at her computer, transcribing away, when she heard a knock on the door. It was the head of the company she worked for. He told her he could get 4 Indians to work for half of what he was paying her, but he wanted her permission to ship her job overseas. Well, she was just winding up to give him a piece of her mind when she saw them standing behind him, the four Indians he proposed to replace her with. They looked so pinched, hungry, and needy. One was carrying a sign that said, "Will transcribe for curry." She said, "Here, I'm giving you my job. Just remember that it was an American who gave you this job." They all swore undying gratitude, and now here they are, these selfsame 4 Indians, chucking rocks at the US consulate in [some place in India]. So much for gratitude.

Can't imagine why Americans would start up - companies in these countries!

That India is a nuclear-armed country, as is their much more volatile neighbor, Pakistan, whose territory we have been attacking with unmanned drones for some years now. Also, take a look at the map and ask yourself how our tanks are getting to India. Also, take a look at the terrain of India and ask yourself how effective tank warfare would be. If we tried it, we might end up wishing we actually had oxen.

Well, just when I thought I had job security this compensation (or decompensation) plan comes along. It looks like Nuance people are getting a raise and because Transcend overpaid us, now I'm getting a 'pay adjustment' of $50 less than normal in a pay period. For me, that means I cannot pay one of my bills. This is the only industry that I know of where they can actually do something like this. This is why there should be unions or at least a committee overseeing these situations ...

We were starving for work these past few weeks and now TransTech is hiring 10 more MTs? This is really starting to tick me off! To the suits at TT who read the board: Please stop hiring more MTs! We can handle the workload and do it well within TAT. You always tell us that we are the best, we rock, etc., so why not just trust us to do the job? We really, really don't want to sit at our desks for 10 to 12 hours a day waiting for work and just barely making our 1500 lines ...

So I get this report, a LONG REPORT. I type it, I download it, and it is sent off and I get the next job. I start typing away and in 2 minutes I get this error message stating you will lose this file or something and boom, everything goes away and I am out of the system. I am supposed to be typing during my shift. Then I go back in again and I get 3 jobs reserved to me and the is the same dang report LONG REPORT that I just did and they want me to do it all over again? ...

Very interesting article-- I just wish the MTSOs would read it. They expect the MTs to sit for 8 solid hours pounding away like robots and even track "inactivity time" on your computer if you stop for a minute or two. They have an ad on this site hiring at 8 cents and 3 cents for straight typing and editing. But, on another site, they have an ad for the same exact thing but the pay is 7 cents for straight typing and 2.5 cents for editing! Are you kidding?!?!?!?! I've been working on the same account going on 12 years and now I will make way less than what I did when I started. Why do I find it hard to believe that they would actually give a shift diff for ANYTHING. They are in the business of reducing/cutting/taking AWAY not giving, especially if they really don't need to. Does anyone here actually get a CMT differential or know that there is one? Do you think it is actually worth it?
