To criticize a family member for posting on this board about the struggles of the family MT is pretty darn cynical.

The simple fact that family members are on this board just goes to show how desperate our situation has become and how seriously it's impacting EVERYONE in the household.

When the MT (whether mommy, daddy, daughter, son, sister, brother, cousin, uncle, aunt, whoever) in the house is suffering, the whole house feels it!

Because I stand by what I said. THIS is a forum for MT's. PERIOD. Since you think you are an MT by association because your wife works at home, go take some time and read up on HIPAA rules on privacy. I don't believe for a second that you don't read the reports your wife is typing. And you, sir, are in violation and so is she.

I know nothing about this poster or his family's situation, but either you know he and his wife quite well or you're being extremely judgmental. I'm guessing it's the latter.

In all of your apparent infinite wisdom, how is it you know that he isn't disabled? Or perhaps already has 2 jobs? Or already has 1 job and is looking for a 2nd to supplement the income?

Some of the posters on here are real pieces of work. I'd never assume to know YOUR situation...except to guess that you must have a miserable existence to presume to know the situation of every poster on a forum and make judgments accordingly.

I've been working with my company for almost a year now and i'm wondering if I should start looking around at other compaines. I graduated from M-Tec last summer and got a job about a month later, they started me at 0.055 cpl, then in December bumped me up to 0.06 cpl. I could really use some advice. I worked for a company for 6 months and then quit when accounts were being lost. I am owed over $3000.00 (I quit over 6 months ago). I know of 2 other ICs who worked for this company and the total owed to all of us is over $10,000. We have been given every excuse in the book. . . . we have to retype the entire VR job because it is 99% WRONG. It seems like it is getting worse instead of better. The last week practically every job has every fifth word right but the rest is wrong. At some point it quits being voice recognition and is pure transcription. Any time we have to fix more than 10% of any job = straight typing. And they wonder why we HATE VR? It was nothing more than a ploy to get 50% of the MTs pay. ...

Detail. Then click on a job number and when page comes up on job view pull down, select Count Log file. THAT will show the job you are getting paid on. It will show the multiplier etc. Doesnt matter what the final line count is. That may not be what you actually did anyway. Final line count is the count they are paying you on, not necessarily the count you actually did. ...

This was posted on the wrong board, but somebody suggested MTs get paid for testing. Well it certainly would put a stop to MTs being used.
