This doctor is absolutely disgusting. I have umpteen jobs for him and he is constantly coughing and snorting up his snot. I can't take it any more. It is so gross. He sounds like a snorting PIG. On top of that, he's constantly forcefully flipping through the pages of the chart and it must be right near the microphone because it feels like it's going to break my eardrums. All I can do is keep calling him nasty names...he's such an idiot, jerk, etc., etc., etc.!!!!!!

I have someone exactly like that. I'm transcribing a lot of his notes today. He has been burping in my ear as well as coughing and sneezing. Not one excuse me, just snort it up and keep on dictating. Disgusting!

Are the ones who use the restroom with their hand-held recorders running and I can hear EVERYTHING going on in there, including the fact that they DON'T WASH THEIR HANDS when finished!

I've done something similar with marvelous results. In my case, it was a nonphysician provider who was taking records out of the facility. We knew she was doing it, but couldn't prove it.

She dictated in front of the TV. During the commercials. The recordings ran on the entire time, picking up the TV. She dictated in a horrible nasal voice and was, on top of everything else, unbelievably rude and insulting to us.

One night as she was flipping through pages, the family rabbit bit her on the rear. She screamed this fact in more graphic terms, accompanied by quite remarkable cursing and a demand that her kids remove the creature from the room.

That gave us what we needed to prove she was taking records home. The foul language was iceing on the cake. The recording was played for her supervisors and we never heard from her again. Never saw her again, either.

Justice is served on occasion.

I have one who is constantly chewing and smacking. He's been talked to I don't know how many times and he still does it. I think they should be made to listen to their own dictation.

For a while I had worked as the director of medical documentation for a practice and I had told the doctors at one meeting their strengths and weakness and they really appreciated the feedback. The ones that did not work on improving their weaknesses, I would play them a portion of their tapes for them to listen to and they would then improve greatly after that, realizing that they sounded like an idiot sometimes. I was not scared to talk to the doctors like they were regular people. Some people will not say anything to them because they think they are gods but at the end of the day, they too put their pants on one leg at a time and as long as you are respectful, most appreciate honest feedback.

The MTs on my account have constantly complained about 1 doctor on VR who does not belong there!! We are simply typing his reports for the lesser pay. The site I used to go to does not exist, and the DocQManage site only has statistics, QA submitted reports and client profile look up. I got a major error (wrong date within the report) on post audit. I want to make sure I really did make that mistake -because it doesn't seem like the usual mistakes I make. According to a poster below which has apparently already attended one of the payroll meetings (as the poster posted) for nuance they have decided to keep the incentive part of all of our pay going with an exception that now you have to have over the industry standard of 98% to get a production based incentive. In addition (if this poster is accurate) they have again cut the overall pay from 8 and 4 to 3 3/4 AND 7 1/2. This is nothing but a bunch of crapploa...an MT who is now getting ...

I have had 6 (SIX!) reports come through, all having the same mush-mouthed, fast talking, whispering, ESL doctor. Oh, and the sing-song thing is really about to make me blow my stack.
