Test results from e-MTS are back. - Suzy Q

Well I feel like I have been hit with a sledge hammer. Just got my results from transcription testing and they say I made too many errors. Strange to hear that, because I honestly thought I did a great job. Two OP reports and EEG. Of course I know on EEG I did not hear half of what dictator was saying, so how could I do a good job.

You know the more I think about this, I am probably better off not to be hired by this company. The OP report was a C-section and I practically have memorized all the procedure terminology as I have typed these maybe hundreds of times if not more. I feel very discouraged at this point though. How could I have a 99% quality rating from last company and then e-MTS says I am not good enough. Oh well such is life, I guess.

Anyone care to comment about this.

Is there a possibility that someone could have reviewed your testing with you so you could see what errors they said you made. I applied to one company, and she went over the entire test with me. You wonder how good was the person who checked your work.

Your comments really make me feel much better. The tests were C-section and total knee arthroplasty which I have done numerous times in the past. I was on an account which dealt with physical rehabilitation for patients with total knee arthroplasty, so my account did the OPs, plus the rehab. That is why I am puzzled as to why I did so poorly on these tests. Now I am thinking if they would reject somebody like me who has a ton of experience, just who is good enough for their account. Makes you wonder huh??? Well they might not find anybody good enough to hire if that is the case.

If you'd been a Indian MT, they probably would've - passed you with flying colors! ;D

and unless I am mistaking you for another poster, it was you and I said I thought you meant e-MTS. I was told the very same thing.

my test results for a job were 97 for objective part then 80 for transcription part! i dunno what my weak spots are :( it's probably things i would be able to work through after the first month of employment anyhow ...

This is a rheumatology note. The doctor is dictating lab results. "ANA negative. DNA positive at s/l ten nine, considered indeterminate" My question is, how is this s/l ten nine result transcribed? 10/9? 10:9? 10(9)? Anyone? Thanks in advance! :) ...

I almost sent a report to QA. The only reason I didn't was because it was a high line count document and I couldn't risk the possible submission rate due to its high line count. Not very wise choice of how to grade the submission rate MQ. I don't like sending a document to the client with blanks, but there comes a time when self protection kicks in. PM likes the FTR low QA submission rate. We will see how PM likes it when the clients starting noticing ...

This kind if thing always confuses me. It does not sound like the doctor said "and" in between posterior and anterior. Is it correct the way I typed it? Thanks very much. ...
