FTR - the immediate results .... - sigh

Posted: Apr 03, 2010

I almost sent a report to QA.  The only reason I didn't was because it was a high line count document and I couldn't risk the possible submission rate due to its high line count.  Not very wise choice of how to grade the submission rate MQ.  I don't like sending a document to the client with blanks, but there comes a time when self protection kicks in.  PM likes the FTR low QA submission rate.  We will see how PM likes it when the clients starting noticing the results - more blanks.  It's too early to call FTR a success, but, again, PM obviously knows nothing about MT'ing and medical records.  Pennywise, pound foolish.

FTR long-term results are gonna be lost accounts. - mrs.krabs

I refuse to believe that the older doctors or attending doctors (university hospitals) are going to put up with this crap. They have to have everything just so and don't want to spend time correcting reports. They're going to march straight to administration and MQ is going to lose these accounts. They are already miffed about Obamacare dipping into their livelihoods.

I know whatcha mean. Just had a 3030 second - Kiki

with 2 blanks. Going to QA NO WAY! On the other hand, I had a 70-second report with 4 blanks. QA? Sure why not, only had 14 lines.....

PLUS....How can they call this a success already? It's only be a few days! Just wait until those docs starting moaning.

I'm not saying I don't like being able to decide whether a report should go to QA or not--that part I like. But they need to change the way the submission rate is counted. Doing it by report is not fair and only encourages more blanks; it does NOT encourage taking even more time to research. I'd love to be able to take my time and send a perfect, non-blanked up report, but not at the cost of my livelihood. And for anyone out there who blasts me for "not caring about patient care," au contraire---and besides, does anyone say anything about the hospitals and even the doctors who don't care enough to dictate clearly and make SENSE so we can produce a quality report? NO.

Good post, Kiki. - Succinct! nm
