Medquist/eTrans Plus buy out - sweetpea

Does anyone know anything about the Medquist/eTrans Plus buy out.  I know 2 members of management were "let go."  Has Medquist put their MTs on eTrans Plus' accounts?  Work seems to be low.

Medquist would NEVER buy out a company and allow just its former employees to work on their own accounts. Every account Medquist acquires eventually goes into the "general pool" for everyone else to work from so whatever used to be your former accounts probably now has dozens of other employees working on it.

The days of having your "own" account and making a decent wage without sharing your good fortune and abundance equally with everyone else hungry for work are over.

they are putting some of their people on eTrans accounts. And, this is an American worker. She and I went to the same school, and she told me she was training on a few of the eTrans accounts. Great. Guess that explains why my work suddenly dried up 2 weeks ago. Not to mention it was my favorite easy "get 200 lph" account. It just keeps getting worse. I actually wake up wondering how much worse things will get on a daily basis.

My work dried up about 2 weeks ago too! I've run out of work before, but not consistently like I am now. My account manager is "gone" without a word. Not getting a warm, fuzzy feeling.

John Jordan, he and Mary Ann Baker were fired without notice about a week ago. That made me very unhappy, as I really liked working for John. He went above and beyond for me. Lots of things making me sad these days.

Yes, JJ was my account manager. Made me very sad/upset that he's gone. If we ran out of work, we were alowed to check back all day and make up the time whenever we wanted - not schedule it. Now we will probably have to change our schedules.

I have never posted on here before, but hearing about JJ being let go really makes me sad. I wondered why I had heard nothing from him lately. He was my account manager as well and a great person. I agree about going above and beyond. I told him after all this started that I was leaving if he did. He was such an encouraging positive person.

I agree with a lot of things making you sad these days. I'm definitely in a lot of turmoil as to what I should do job-wise. Stay and see what happens or leave before it gets bad - so far things have been normal for me but I can honestly say I live stressed out every day now wondering when/if the hammer is going to fall!

Yes, this is a messed-up, sorry state of affairs. LOVED working for JJ, and I really was very happy and productive. Now, there's little work, a draconian system, email that doesn't f#@$ing work, and a "qcare" system that is about as functional as Congress.

I.REALLY.DON'T.LIKE.THIS.COMPANY.

Am NOT looking forward to knowing my new supervisor better. So far, I don't like what I see.

Could have saved myself some weekend anxiety. The 877 call in number was Medquist. The CEO tremored through the whole accounce of the buyout. HUH eat my foot they will recognize and keep everything intact. When I asked for Federal Leave when Q bought Spheris they would NOT recognize my time. eTrans made an "error" last pay taking away all my PTO. The sweaty CEO has a bad conscious because eTrans will make as much as MTs in India. Now I know what the Plus in Etrans stood for. ...

I was rather dismayed to see all the negative comments here about MedQuist. Hasn't *anyone* had a good experience?
