Is MW Transcription Services on the Job Seekers Board a SCAM. Does anyone know someone - who actually works/worked for them

Does anyone actually work for MW Transcription Services?

When you go to her website, all you find is her hawking her book and multiple ads for schools (including the matchbooks that guarantee $60,000 year). Her “SERVICES” and “RATES” tabs are empty. How does a company get any business without having any of that type of information on their website? In fact, the only tabs that have any information are the ones that offer her ebook for sale and her auctions where she is selling transcription equipment.

She claims to have been in the business for 12 years and her website is dated 2008. Isn’t 3 years long enough to update?

A cynical person would suspect that all she is trying to do is get people to visit her website so she can count how many “hits” her website gets, and thereby get more of those matchbox schools to pay her to advertise on her website.

Anyone have ANY information on her?

I am the owner of MW Transcription Services and no, my company is not a "SCAM." I absolutely DID NOT post that ad to "hawk" my ebook. I am legitimately looking for MTs to start work on a new account my company has acquired.

I double-checked my Services and Rates tab and they worked just fine for me. I'm not sure why it was showing up empty on your end. It could be the browser you were using. Try using a different browser and see if that helps.

I HAVE been in business for 12+ years. The reason my website is dated 2008 is because I had to redo the whole thing in 2008 due to changing hosting companies.

No affiliation with TTD. I use the same ad format most of the time and just customize it to fit the situation. I suspect many companies have very similar ads.

Between our government and our 'free' media, they have done a nice job of keeping Americans scared of their own shadows.

And capitalism is corrupting so there's another reason people appear 'paranoid.'

In a society which has allowed nearly every step they take to be monitored, is anyone really surprised we have become so suspicious?

"Socialism" is a term made evil by greedy capitalists.

Americans have been brainwashed since birth not to question capitalism and to condemn anything other than capitalism, which is simply modern slavery.

any and all forms of government/economies can be and usually are to some extent "corrupt".

Which brings me to my final point here: When you answer me with "and socialism isn't corrupt? and no other message, your goal is to change the subject and/or dismiss what I said.

Let's jut say you are *entirely* correct - 'socialism is corrupt' how does that change my comment? I was just pointing out what some complaining on the board seem not to recognize: As long as we embrace a system that REWARDS greed (aka capitalism) we should not be surprised at the downward spiral of wages/opportunities.

Myself, I steer clear of companies that also own - or advertise for MT schools.

Plus you have to question the ethics of any MT school that "guarantees $60K a year".

How could an MT company ethically support a school that guarantees anything above $20K a year? Especially when just about anyone working for an MTSO is pretty much guaranteed to make not much more than that?

I would put my trust in a shady used-car salesman than I would the MTSOs or the career schools they hawk.
