Inscribe, Kentucky - Glad I did not get hired

Posted: Sep 03, 2010

Let me say that in all of the 20+ years I have been in this business, I have never encountered more rude, more criticizing, unprofessional people (particularly one manager ****) in my life.

These people have you test initially, send you new hire paperwork to fill out, (which is so backward), then schedule you for a brief training on their software, then have you transcribe 5 reports.  That is really not a problem, it is the way you are talked to in emails.  I will copy and paste VERBATIM one such email.  Mind you, this is a company wanting YOU to work for them.

*****

Call me sensitive ladies, but this was one of the first responses I received.  Who talks to people like that, especially prospective employees?  I have notified the owner, **** of this, along with the emails that were rude and disrespectful.

Until this lady is terminated ladies, do yourselves a favor and just do not bother with their unprofessionalism and unorganized hiring process.

I woulda told her what she could do to herself - with her STATs and her instructions.

Can you imagine how bad it would've been to work for them, and get those nastygrams every single day? Yuck.

Good for you for not signing on with them. Ms. Culpepper sounds like she could use a double dose of MIDOL.

It does seem the job will be a better fit for someone else. NM - anon.

I guess I don't understand why you are so offended. - LoriMT

Granted, it's not the nicest email, but I wouldn't call it "nasty."

If she sent you instructions and you didn't follow them, I think pointing that out to you is acceptable.

I would, however, say something to her about the H&P thing because if they didn't want to you type stat reports then those reports shouldn't be pooled to you in the first place.

Beyond that, I think you are over-reacting just a bit.

Agree. I read it as short & to the point. - nm

Similar experience at InScribe - Summer

I also had a very unsettling and unprofessional experience with InScribe recently. My hiring process dragged out for months because of the tremendous chaos within this company and the countless delays in getting even the simplest thing accomplished or responded to. Communication wasn't lacking...it was NONexistent!! I was also treated rudely, talked down to, and unfairly chastised during my evaluation before facts were even gathered. Long story short, I was "officially" hired after passing my evaluation, but never received a starting date, WGM assignment, or additional training dates, as was supposed to happen. IT help was also basically nonexistent due to an inordinate backlog. The frustration, lack of communication, and endless waiting eventually became unbearable, and I finally walked away and found another job. To this day, I don't think they even realize I'm gone!!

I worked for them for almost a year on and off. They are very disorganized and too much reconstructering of WGMs and ALWAYS changing the way they want you to handle QA. They say you can talk to anyone regarding problems or whatever, but when you do, they do not respond or send you to someone else. Just not very good business techniques. Maybe one day Dani and Scott will realize they have too many chiefs and not enough indians.

InScribe = Bottom Feeders - LightenUp

InScribe is very unprofessional, very disorganized (a crisis is a daily event at that place) and many of the managers are rude, unprofessional and sometimes nasty. Work for these bottom feeders and you'll get screaming red emails more than once a day while some of these emails will threaten to "Fire You!" for the smallest perceived infractions. If you still have the chance...Run! A friend of mine knows a doc on one of their bigger accounts. He says they basically go in, undercut the competition, make the administration happy, tick off the docs, hire newbies, pay them junk wages and then scream at them when they need QA or help with their continually broken platforms. Like I said, ladies...Run! Life is too short for a job like that!

Hopefully these posts will help the owner - Glad I did not get hired

I will be the first to say that I am not infalloble. I make mistakes, but I can assure you, my tests were within any reasonable acceptable limits for hiring. It was my interaction with the manager that is why I did not get hired. I was not even provided an instruction manual on how to use Chartscript, the platform I had to test on. I had to "figure" it out myself. Then, I might add, get persecuted at the stake because I chose the wrong date. I chose the wrong date because I did not know how to get the screen that had the patient encounters on it because I had no instructions how to use Chartscript.

I was given a 15 page account specifics and expected to learn it in 5 minutes for the testing. Really? When I get a new account with my current employer, I have over a week to learn account specifics.

If it were up to me, this is how I would test a new applicant.
1. Provide accurate instructions on software and make technical support and/or management available during testing hours. (Mine were not. Why schedule me at a time when you are not available)??
2. Do not waste my or your time having prospective applicants fill out new hire paperwork until they are "officially" hired. What a waste of time that was.
3. Why not make your testing consist of your voice files to begin with, instead of having to test "twice"? This would eliminate the need for "all of the paperwork" that we have to fill out just to gain access to the facilities to test on, etc.
4. ASSIGN the files when testing, instead of having us "download" whatever comes. I was scolded for choosing history and physicals that apparently are "STATS". Take them out of my pool as a new applicant. Only route dictation that I am "allowed" to transcribe. You expect a new applicant to remember your page of instructions "generic instructions, not Chartscript instructions", account specifics 15 pages, and various emails. It is nothing short of sensory overload.

To me, these are just common sense things, not something that is overboard.

I wish the owner and her husband great success in this business. Maybe they will listen to the frustrations of applicants, and make their company a better place to work for.

Glad I got another job offer and left before I even finished my evaluation. I was sensing alot of disorganization and a serious lack of communication in the few short weeks that I was there.

Inscribe In Kentucky

I still am there but very disappointed in everything.  They are terribly disorganized, and the owner sends out emails stating she is going to fire everyone if you don't do what I say, either drunk or not taking her medications some say.  You are forced to work as an employee in an IC status.  I only work 2 hours a day, but I find myself having to do 1-2 hours of other crap, including instant messaging, bookkeeping, and helping other employees to fill in blanks, we are require ...

May 11, 2011

Okay, I know InScribe LLC (Kentucky) has been on the Boards multiple times (at least monthly, if not weekly, it seems), but I just noticed they have a “Premium” ad at the top of the Job Seeker’s Board.  I guess these “Featured Listings” are not free, as the other listings are.  If I remember correctly, most of the posts on the Boards have been by Newbies, because InScribe evidently is one of the few MTSOs that hire new graduates.  However, it appear ...

As we all know, the testing process, etc., in applying for a job just to find out they pay so poorly you couldn't afford to take the job is extremely frustrating.  With this in mind, does anyone have any info on the Mediscribes ad for QA on the job seeker's board.  Apparently it is a line rate.  That's not always a bad thing depending if you're doing 100% QA or just blank fill ins.  Can anyone give me info on the pay with this company and any other pertine ...

InScribe US
Feb 27, 2011

Hello MTs! I recently submitted application and tests document to InScribe US and was informed that although I did "well" on the test, I was slightly below their standards. They have invited me to participate in their internship program, take 4 of their learning modules, and work with someone one-on-one to bring me up to their standards. This is to cost $400. Has anyone gone through this process? Is it a scam? I definitely know that more education will benefit me, but I am just looking for some ...

About InScribe... (sm)
Jan 31, 2014

I reviewed comments on InScribe going back to 2005 and the only positive comment I could find is that they pay on time.  A red flag was that they hire newbies and require that you go to an MT chat room and send the audio to another MT to listen to when you have to leave a blank before sending it to QA.  There was also a comment that you are required to read all the comments in the chat room.  Can anyone confirm this is the case?  If so, it sounds like they use the seasoned MT ...
