Has anyone ever tested with acusis and got an email to look over the scheduling and pay and had their computer tested by them and never heard from them again? I was assuming I was getting hired, but I guess I shouldn't assume anything anymore. Once they find out I have bad credit (which I think is what happened), they don't email again.

They investigated your credit? Gosh, I have bad credit, too, and I've worked for very reputable MTSOs that I don't think checked my credit. Are you sure it was really Acusis and not a imposter or scammer trying to get your financial information?

I am not for sure that it was my credit, but this has happened numerous times with me. The company starts to go through the hiring process, and then I hear nothing.

This is a relatively new thing with them. Next, they'll want a photo shoot of our work area and how far it is to the kitchen/bathroom.

Also, if you had to install their software to work for them, they provided you with a link & you did it yourself. I don't like the idea of them scanning my computer. They do use an outside company to do this.

If they can't take your word on your PC specs, - what else wont they believe? S/M

I once worked for them. Their software is chock full o' spyware and line cheatware.

I am an MT and not a "suit." The tool that some of these companies use, as well as some computer technicians is Belarc Advisor. It is a tool designed to "analyze your computer." If for example you know your computer has 2 GB of memory, that is not what is available at any given time -- this measures the memory, the type of processor you have, the speed of the processor, the size of your hard drive, etc. It does NOT go in and "see" any personal information that you have stored on your computer. From a technical aspect, you or a tech can go in and see what program may be causing your computer to run slowly. It is a DIAGNOSTIC tool and that is it! Nothing more.

it would "burp", and I could plainly see in the lower right hand corner EXACTLY what the IT person in India was looking at. And what I could see was the contents of my personal documents file, all email correspondence, web posts, etc. This company has spyware throughout all of its transcription software, too.

The only way to keep your private things private (letters, documentation, emails, photos, etc.) is to save them to a removable flash drive, and then double check to be sure everything you saved to flash drive has been deleted from your computer's hard drive.

Their intranet email and IM features are also monitored, so never write anything in them that you wouldn't want management to see. And yes, they DO look.

I have used Belarc Advisor for years with none of the problems you describe. If the COMPANY asked you to install it, then yes, they probably do have other "spyware" type software in there as well. However. I have it on my computer presently, and the only way that it can be run is if I myself activate it.

they are supposed to tell you if you have been denied a job because of your credit. Now whether or not they really do, I can't say.

and am having an interview tomorrow. Have you given them your SS#. I have not done that yet. If you have not given them your SS# then they can't check your credit.

in that case, I would think they would answer your e-mail if they want you. If they don;t answer, I wouldn't waste my time, either; who is going to pay our bills while we wait weeks/months for them to get back to you.

Yes, if you are denied a job or credit bec. of a bad credit history, they have to tell you. A lot of people don't know, though, that EACH credit inquiry from a credit bureau DETRACTS points from your credit score. Thus, applying to many jobs at once and giving them your SS# will lower your score considerably before you even get a job.

Employers only get my SS# once they've made - me an actual offer, on paper. nomsg

They were just very slow in getting back to me, but I decided not to take the job. I think I applied to them in November. There was like a week and a half to two week interval between each time they contacted me. I think they will get back to you.

If they don't get back to you, consider yourself - lucky. You dodged a bullet.

I tested last week and got such bad dictation I could not believe it. I tried to transcribe it as if I was getting paid the usual 8 CPL and realized it would take more time to complete it and I would be making zero money. My question is this? What is everyone's issue really? I see a lot of complaining but I have found that in this industry if you do your work and stick to your schedule you make plenty of money. I've failed each test. I actually passed the first set of tests for Webmedx, but then they gave me a VR test, and I've never done that before, so I failed. I even got turned down at a local hospital. All of the negative posts on here and the company board are making me think I'm going to decline the offer.
