Any good companies left out there? - zimmy321

I've been in the MT business for 7 years now. After being let go for low workload from my last company I was lucky enough to take the last 4 months off but now feeling the crunch and need to get back. I've been with about 4 different companies in the past but now doing the research I just don't see any companies that people seem to LIKE to work for! If anyone has a company that's legit and seems to be an okay place to work please let me know!!

I've been there nearly 2 months, and they play fair compared to most MTSOs out there. I'm left alone to do my work without phone calls left and right, being nitpicked/micromanaged, or rampant favoritism. Pay scale is better than most, and checks are always on time.

Uscribe is a great company to work for. Plenty of work, pay on time and great management people.

I worked for Uscribe briefly. They are one of the better companies I have worked for. There is always work, management are very nice and provides you with everything you need as far as account specs, how-to's, reference material, etc., and you are not just another warm body pounding the keyboard. Pay is every 2 weeks and on time. I do believe they are hiring.

Thank you so much for the information on Uscribe! Do you happen to know if they hire IC's or just employees and if they have flexible scheduling or quite strict? I tried looking up their website online but it seems to be under construction or just not functioning properly (or could be my computer, who know!).

They hire ICs. They want you to "ballpark" what hours you are planning to work during the training period so they can provide feedback. I think while on QA they want you to work during the day.

I want to work as an employee and have benefits. I need health insurance and really want PTO. I want a company big enough to be busy but I CANNOT AND WILL NOT work for MQ again. I'm just talking about employees here, not ICs. It amazes me that as a company employee, we would not be provided the most important tool we need to work with all set up to company specs, loaded with company s/w. I have worked IC for a local hospital for 5 years getting paid 0.15/line after leaving a 5 year position with MQ making 0.09/line. I'm certainly getting discouraged by reading more and more on this board. I used to work for MModal when it was Medquist and they seem just as bad on here. TTS has bad reviews.
