COBRA - 2 months? - MT1

I received email stating Cobra for 2 months - through 10/17 - now have letter stating I owe premium as of 9/1 and that Nuance only covered through 9/17 - anyone else have this problem? I need my medication and cannot get it because the premium was not paid. No answer from HR - surprise, surprise.
