Do you have family who can help you out or at least have someone for emotional support? Definitely finish your schooling, apply for student loans if you haven't already. And there is nothing to be embarrassed about, you are going through a tough time right now and that's what social services are there for.
I do hope things turn around for you very soon. Keep your chin up, you are doing what you have to do for you and your child and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Take care and keep us updated.
