All I am saying is that someone who has to apply for welfare probably does not have money for coding school. I was briefly laid off and all I worried about was eating, getting the bills paid and finding a job ASAP. Most of those programs are private schools with no financial aid (correct me if I am wrong). The state-funded program that I was in for career counseling was not recommending coding as a career choice and there was no money available for school. Why does every MT who finds themselves at a crossroads have to become a coder? Maybe the OP doesn't want a coding job, did you ask?
