Check your state Wage & Labor laws - AnotherMT

Most states DO NOT have mandatory OT laws for holidays. The rules mandate OT for hours over 40 per week, not per day, and a week is based on whatever the company says a week is (it can start any day and end on any day). Benefits such as holiday pay, vacation pay, bereavement pay, PTO, sick days, anything above and beyond an hourly wage is just that, a benefit. No employer has to give anyone benefits.

Some states are more liberal about what an employer must give an employee. But most employers don't owe an employee anything other than an hourly wage and properly documenting taxes taken out of that paycheck.

The Wage and Labor site is interesting reading.
